AxIT and VALD Full Body Measuring Systems
What is the AxIT and VALD Full Body Measuring System?
Consisting of two force plates, a push-pull dynamometer and a full power frame; we are able to assess force strength, power, and rate of force development for almost every muscle group in the body. Testing is also reliable and repeatable.
What does AxIT and VALD testing involve?
AxIT and VALD can be used as a stand-alone, independent assessment tool or as real-time training feedback. We can collect data from basic movements in all ranges (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, rotation) as well as in functional movements (squat, walk, hop, jump, lunge, land).
Isometric strength can be assessed in any required range of motion for all major joints of the human body. This allows us to compare side-to-side strength and functional ability for compound movements in an objective manner.
Who can be assessed?
The assessment protocols can be adjusted to suit all individuals. People can be assessed on the treatment bed, in sitting or supported standing, depending on their needs. Highly functional individuals can be assessed using the power rack to enable us to reproduce maximal forces.
AxIT and VALD testing can help us with:
– Pre and post op assessment
– Return to sport assessment
– Return to work programs
– Strength imbalances
– Injury management
– Monitoring strength progress
– Independent strength assessments
A full report is sent to the patient following each assessment. We look forward to assisting you reach your rehabilitation goals.
